One of the main problems face in the word is epilepsy being overlooked and having enough effort put into it. I believe this is unfair and needs to change, so my goal is to change the face of epilepsy and get people to understand epilepsy isn’t as basic as the words that come out of peoples mouths.
It’s very complex and in all honestly incredibly overlooked, I understand that there’s more research put into E.g. Cancer Research which i’m not disagreeing with i just believe that epilepsy shouldn’t get kicked to the curb. More should be done about it. Not everyone understands the ins and outs. Honestly neither do i.
It’s a lot more in-depth than even doctors realize, So that’s what i plan and hope to achieve. Change the face of epilepsy and explain from a personal perspective how it effects me and hope to create a comparison. There’s hundreds of kinds of epilepsy not just the stereotypical “fall and shake seizures”
Yes, i may not be a doctor but i know the feeling. I know how they effect me and the precautions that follow after the seizure. Becoming an Inspirational Speaker is my dream to change the face and the outlook of a disability that may seem pretty straight forwards in some peoples eye’s but in fact it’s complex and difficult to deal with.
