My Regrets

i will be honest with everyone , i hated school and i couldn’t wait to leave. I’ll tell you now , that’s not the way you should be looking at things. Education is one of the most keys things growing up. So i’ll tell you now , don’t wish your life away because if i could go back in time and try harder at school. Trust me i would. Yes i did ok at school , i got the grades i needed to become a Chef to then study at college for four years to become a Qualified Chef.

Yea a Chef is what i wanted to be when i was older and get a job in it because i enjoyed cooking. Ok well i say i did ok , i’ll admit i got lucky with it. You Guys can’t rely on Luck so my suggestion is , Hit the ground running and if you’ve got your mind set to something , don’t be one of those people who just can’t wait to leave school and just think i don’t care what i get for my exam results , because in life you’ll get nowhere.

The way i now look at things are as simple as would you want to be another sheep in the herd and become a follower or would you stand alone and think to yourself , i’m going to smash it. There are a lot of people i knew at college who instead of studying and looking to succeed , they were posting on Facebook and Instagram , Of them partying and drink on a Friday night

Now me on the other hand , i would sit in-front of my Pc spend hours doing course work. I remember part of my chef Diploma Final Coursework , was we had to spend a minimum of 500 hrs on it , clock in at library with barcode scanner and sign out once done. My first two years where at Runshaw College , All the college buses left at 4pm , because i wanted to get the highest grade , i would go into college on my days off and some days i would finish my lessons at 12:30pm and i would stay till after college till about 5:45pm and walk home. The Walk was 4.9 Miles to get home.

Total hours i did 876 hrs and scored a Platinum which was the highest grade and another girl in my course got gold. The others who i’m sure didn’t care only managed to do about 320 hrs. Failed the course and had to repeat it. So honestly doesn’t matter how smart you are. As long as you put your mind to it , you can accomplish anything you want.
